I first fell in love with this album about 6 years ago.. Around the time I was obsessive about collecting vinyl records. I searched every New York City record shop, record fairs, online resellers (eBay, Craigslist), record stores in Philly and DC, even Florida, but no luck. This vinyl record was rare! Being that I am obsessed with D’Angelo and his music genius, I freaked when I found out this record was being rereleased on vinyl. I finally picked up a copy and cannot be more excited to slap it on my turntable and hear all of it. (I still standby the statement that nothing sounds as good as vinyl). I can’t wait to hear this record the way it was supposed to be heard. #analog #recordoftheday!!

Two of my dreams were fulfilled last night… Seeing D’Angelo perform and seeing D’Angelo perform with Questlove. The concert was the greatest display of musicianship and soul I have ever experienced. The concert changed the way I think about music and maybe life itself. I got to shake both their hands and dance along with many fans and musicians I look up to. I am so thankful I got to experience it all last night and I look forward to continuing to write, record, produce and perform music, and further my musical journey.
